2014 Spring Soccer

Season:  Early April – Mid June

In-House Recreation Program will consist of a weeknight practice
& a game each Sunday
Travel Program will consist of two weeknight practices
& weekend games

Added bonus!  Friday night AFC Footskill Sessions* with
AFC Professional Coaches at Gary Park, 6:30 -7:30 p.m. (dates TBD)

*Note: Footskill Sessions are open to all 2014 Spring Season In-House and Travel players
Cleats, shin guards, and ball required

In-Person Registration: Middle School, 12:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 1

IN-HOUSE REC PROGRAM FEE (DIVISIONS 1 & 2): $85 per child if played in fall
2013, or $90 per child if did not play in fall 2013
TRAVEL PROGRAM FEE^: $130 per child if played in fall 2013, or $135 per child if did not play in fall 2013. ^Travel fee does not include uniform kit (jersey, shorts, and socks) – parent must order separately.  SSA will email uniform company link to each new spring player for ordering.

Birth Certificates – All players new to SSA MUST supply a birth certificate copy to Registrar or player cannot participate as per CT Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) rules!
Teams will be formed for the following Age Groups#:
In-House Rec Program Div. 1 (Under 5/U6) -- Must be 4 or 5 years old by 7/31/13.  Co-ed.
In-House Rec Program Div. 2 (Under 7/U8) -- Must be 6 or 7 years old by 7/31/13.  Co-ed.
Travel Program (Under 9/U10; U11/U12; U13/U14; U15/U16; U17/U18/U19) -- Must be 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or 18 by 7/31/13 to play.  Travel teams will be divided into girls and boys teams.  Children will be assigned to their age appropriate group when possible but may “play up” to achieve balanced rosters. For additional In-House or Travel program info, please email  

#Per CJSA rules, the soccer year runs from 8/01/13 to 7/31/14.  Age groups remain the same for the entire year
(fall, winter, and spring seasons).
