Charley Murphy Youth Lacrosse Tournament &
Matt Kull Alumni Game and Blood Drive
Sunday, June 15, 2008
Dear Y.A.C. Business Owner,
Finally… Spring is upon us! Everyone in Yorktown knows that along with Spring comes the sport of Lacrosse; the very sport that put Yorktown on the map starting many years ago. The Lacrosse Community and the YAC are teaming up to put together the BIGGEST tournament ever in memory of the Founding Father of Yorktown Lacrosse, Charlie Murphy.
During the day’s events there will be an American Lacrosse League game, a Yorktown Lacrosse Alumni game, as well as, a Blood Drive that is planned in memory of Matt Kull, a former Yorktown Lacrosse player, who lost his battle with cancer. The money raised during this tournament will be given to The Matthew Kull Foundation (www.MatthewsMission.org) and the YAC Girls and Boys Youth Lacrosse Programs. The Matthew Kull Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the emotional and physical support desperately needed for the healing process of young adults with Hodgkin's disease, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Leukemia and other cancer patients and their families.
We ask you to please help us with a tax-deductible sponsorship for the Charlie Murphy Lacrosse Tournament and the Matt Kull Alumni Game and Blood Drive. The levels of sponsorships available are listed on the next page. There will be approximately 300 programs printed and handed out at these events. There will be approximately 44 teams and 800 participants at the tournament, the Alumni game, the A.L.L game and the planned blood drive. The YAC club website will receive approximately 1,500 plus hits in the days leading up to the tournament.
Please contact me by May 15, 2008 to ensure that your business can be included in this HUGE event in Yorktown. We thank you in advance for your support.
