YAC GIRLS LACROSSE
Begins: April 1st, depending on weather and field conditions.
Weekly Schedule: Sunday afternoons, 10:30am to 12:00pm
Objectives: To introduce the girls to the basics of girl’s lacrosse through skills development. It will be non-competitive and no games will be played.
***What To bring: Come to practice with a mouth-guard, lacrosse stick and eye protection (required for all play) and drinking water.
Wear loose-fitting clothing appropriate for running and current weather.
3rd-8th Grade Division:
Begins: On or about Tuesday March 15th at Legacy, depending on weather and field conditions.
Weekly Schedule: Practice Tues and Thurs, times and locations to be announced. Games are weekdays and weekend.
Location: Sports Barn Field, Yorktown High School & Legacy
Objectives: Emphasis will be placed on skills development, and general tactics of attack and defense. Games will begin mid-April against neighboring towns (Somers, Shrub Oak, Chappaqua, Bedford). Schedules will be announced later.
Required Equipment: Come to practice with a girls′ lacrosse stick, mouth-guard and eye protection (required for all play), and drinking water. No jewelry, fasten hair.
***ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE EYE PROTECTION AND A MOUTH-GUARD IN ORDER TO PLAY!****
