Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about Machine Pitch Baseball:

What ages can play?  Any girl or boy who is 6 - 8 years old as of April 30th, 2013.  
What’s the goal of this league?  Machine Pitch is specifically designed to help the children begin to understand the fundamentals of good baseball. We teach sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for others, and work to develop proper techniques for skills such as throwing, fielding, hitting and base running. 

Number of players per team?  Usually 11 or 12. The commissioner works hard to prevent a team from having 13 players, but it may occur in a rare instance. 

Where are the practices and games? Arthur Goodman Park, 1200 S. Trade Street, Matthews, N.C. (1 mile from downtown Matthews)  

Number of Practices?  Teams are generally assigned 2 practices per week leading up to the regular season. Coaches may schedule additional practices depending on the availability of fields and batting cages. Also, once the regular season begins, additional practices may be held depending on the availability of fields and batting cages.  

Number of Games?  10 - 12 over 5 - 6 weeks. Teams are usually scheduled for two games per week: one weekday game (Monday through Friday evening) and one Saturday game.   

What time are the Games?  Weekday games are scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Saturday games are scheduled for 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM. Players generally arrive at the field 45 minutes to an hour before game time for warm-ups. 

What does it cost? Machine Pitch Activity Fee is $205
What does the fee include? Baseball Socks, Pants, Shirt and Hat. Bats and Balls are supplied.
