Winterhurst Hockey Association
Welcome to the home of The Winterhurst Hockey Association (WHA). The WHA is dedicated to the growth and development of youth hockey. The WHA exists as an educational / recreational organization that provides a progressive pathway for children from ages 4 - 18 how to play the exciting game of ice hockey. The WHA participates in 2 different youth hockey leagues which operate independent of each other but combined, offer players and families several different choices depending on skill level and level of interest.
The Winterhurst Warriors (WW) offers a competitive brand of hockey for participates in the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL) - which consists of over 25 member organizations - and operates under the auspices of USA Hockey, the national governing organization for amateur hockey in the United States. The WW offers a full range of travel hockey teams from mite thru bantam age that participate in the CSHL. Travel typically consist of teams as far east as Geauga County, as far south as Columbus and as far west as Lorain county. WW teams typically get an average of 45-50 hours of practice ice per season at Serpentini/Winterhurst arena and compete in approximately 30-40 games, including some in and out-of-town tournaments. The Cleveland Warriors (CW) brand of hockey operates birth year teams that participate in the Little Caesar's Amateur Hockey League (LCAHL) out of Detroit and also operates under the auspices of USA Hockey. The CW brand of hockey offers players an advanced level of competitive hockey. Home games are mixed between our own Serpentini/Winterhurst arena and ice purchased in Toledo and Monroe Michigan. CW teams typically get an average of 50-60 hours of practice ice per season at Serpentini/Winterhurst arena and compete in approximately 40-50 games, including some in and out-of-town tournaments.
