·         10:15AM-RCF 7-8 yr olds-9 yr olds
·         11:30AM 10-11 yr olds
·         12:45PM 13-14 yr olds
·         Please make sure you are pre registered before tryouts.

The 2012 Coaches and GJBA board approved level of play. In accordance with, and as stated in our most recent coaches meeting, it is the organizations vision to field competitive teams at each level of play.  We have had several team and coaching changes so we strongly encourage each player to attend tryouts. GJBA Description of Levels of Play

Junior Program - No Tryouts Required

These leagues are for boys and girls to learn the fundamentals of baseball, gain experience with organized sports, and have fun. They will play 8 league games and play in a season ending tournament. They will play locally against other Golden teams formed primarily by their elementary schools. Practices will start in late March, games begin in late April, and the season ending tournament will be in June. Registration fee is $120.00 which includes team shirt and hat. Registrations are due 3-15-2012.  ALL Players are required to participate in league-sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.  $60 Buyout before registration deadline, $80 after registration deadlines

4-6 T-Ball Non-competitive
 

• Fundamentals of baseball are learned
• All games in Golden

 
7-8 Coach Pitch Semi-competitive
 

• Coaches do the pitching
• Fundamentals of baseball are learned
• All games in Golden
• 8 year-olds are eligible if this is their first year of baseball

 

7 - 8 Year-olds Kid Pitch - Tryouts Required
                            

These leagues are for players who want to play Kid Pitch baseball at age 7 or 8. Players do all the pitching. These leagues are competitive baseball played countywide.  If a team is not formed or a player does not get selected to play on these teams they will be assigned to a Coach Pitch team. 
Early Pay Registration fee $205.00 before 12/31/11.Full Payment Registration fee $225 includes league hat. Registrations are due 1-15-2012. Uniform fees are additional fees as determined by the teams (prices vary per team). ALL Players are required to participate in league-sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.  $60 Buyout before registration deadline, $80 after registration deadlines

7-8 Roberto Clemente-RC Majors “Zero” League” - Competitive
 

• Kid-pitch baseball
• Modified baseball rules apply
• 18 Game Schedule with travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required
• Potential to play in 2 or more state tournaments (Coaches decision)

 
7-8 Farmers AA “2^nd League” - Semi-competitive
 

• Highly recommended for all 8 year-olds with baseball experience
• Kids do the pitching
• Modified baseball rules apply
• 18 Game Schedule with some travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required

 
 
 

9 - 14 Year-olds 
 
***Note: All 9 year-olds are required to attend tryouts, regardless of level of play*** 
 

A “3^rd league” Non-competitive, recreational baseball - No Tryout Required
 

• Less skilled/new players-All players make a team
• Generally 12-14 players per team
• Modified baseball rules apply
• 18 Game Schedule with travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required
• Potential to play in state tournaments (Coaches decision)
• ALL Players are required to participate in league sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.
  • $60 Buyout before registration deadline, $80 after registration deadline

 
AA “2^nd League” More competitive - Tryout required
 

• Less skilled/new players
• Usually 11-13 players on a team
• Modified baseball rules apply
• 18 Game Schedule with travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required
• Potential to play in 1 or more state tournaments (Coaches decision)
• ALL Players are required to participate in league-sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.  
  • $60 Buyout before registration deadline, $80 after registration deadline

 
AAA “1^st League” Competitive - Tryout required
 

• Full baseball rules
• High level of skill and commitment required of players
• There are usually 11-13 players on a team
• 18 Game Schedule with travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required
• Potential to play in 2 or more state tournaments (Coaches decision)
• ALL Players are required to participate in league sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.  
  • $60 Buyout before registration deadline, $80 after registration deadline

 
Majors “Zero” League” Highest level of competition - Tryout required
 

• Full baseball rules
• Highest level of skill and commitment required of players
• There are usually 10-12 players on a team.
• 18 Game Schedule with travel within JCJBL league boundaries is required
• Play in 3 or more state tournaments (Coaches decision)
• ALL Players are required to participate in league-sponsored fundraiser or pay buyout.

14+ Years of Age

Level III-GOLDEN HIGH SCHOOL – GHS Tryout Required
